Lichfield started the second half of their league campaign with a poor performance and a loss against a Belper side that previously Lichfield had swept aside.

Lichfield started well but seemed to lose their way, failing to keep hold of the ball and being guilty of giving back possession to Belper.

Belper's first goal took an unfortunate deflection of a Lichfield stick after Lichfield had failed to clear the ball with any real strength.

Lori Gleeson appeared to have something different for breakfast to the rest of the team as she put in an almost unanimous player's player performance.

Nicky Menmuir added to her high season goal haul with a well worked short corner routine - finding the bottom right of the Belper goal.

Belper's second goal did serve to take the wind from Lichfield and with minutes remaining lichfield pressed to get the equaliser but to no avail.

A much improved performance will be needed next week to face top of the table unbeaten Burton.
