Barton Beaten

January 14 2012 | Ladies 4th XI vs Barton | 2-0 Win

This was the first of two consecutive weekends when the Ladies 4ths will host matches against Barton.  This was a friendly fixture, in anticipation of the league fixture on 21st January.

It was a closley fought match with both sides having lots of chances.  It was goal-less at half time, and Lichfield waited until the last 15 minutes of the match to convert their pressure into the goals that mattered, with Emma Harper and Sally Jeffries both finding the back of the net.

Ellie Doubleday played solidly in midfield, and goalkeeper Katie Burke made numerous good saves to give Lichfield a clean sheet.
