Ladies 2's get revenge

January 21 2012 | Ladies 2nd XI vs Wolverhampton & Tettenall | 4-1 Win

Lichfield Ladies 2nd XI secure 3 points against Wolverhampton 1st XI to go joint top of Staffs Div 1. After going a goal down after 10 minutes, despite having all the initial pressure, Lichfield remained patient and shortly before the break were rewarded with a tap in goal by Becky Wright after a series of neat passes. Soon after the break Lichfield took the lead with another goal by Becky Wright. 

Lichfield continued to attack and their good fitness and speed saw 2 goals in the last ten minutes by Rachael Eastland, from a short corner, and Jo Grant finishing off a fine cross.

The 4 - 1 result saw them go joint top with Uttoxeter 1's.
