Young Forwards show the way

September 04 2010 | Mens 5th XI vs Old Wulfs 4 | 6-2 Win

Lichfield 5ths took on an Old Wulfs team that had more experience. But Lichfield showed that good passing play can be very effective. The two youngest players on the pitch Josh Thatcher and Oliver Mason led the scoring with three goals from Josh and one from Oliver who also set up two goals with his fine attacking play at the age of 11. Josh Lomas and Ben Robertson with one each completed the scoring. A good display of goalkeeping from Matt Gilbey and general strong defence ensured that the opposition was restricted well.
