Junior

The Junior Section of Lichfield Hockey Club began over 20 years ago, working with children on Sunday mornings, it has now grown in size with over 200 members aged from 4 to 18 years, as well as a dedicated team of coaches, assistants and parental helpers.

All players have access to teams the under 15’s and Under 18’s are entered for the England Hockey Cup, the Under 11’s and Under 13’s play in the Staffordshire minis and enter the National competitions, we sent a team of Under 9’s to the Beijing Olympics at Beeston Hockey Club organized by England Hockey in 2008 to represent in Japan.  The youngsters primarily come to training to have an enjoyable experience but gain immense skills both in hockey and for life.  Several of the youngsters go on to represent the county, the Midlands or their country of birth.
